I don't
Best friend says it's there
but sleeping
in all
its beauty
all.
What's really gone?
The blossom
lost
the skin flabby
the heat off
Feel like
closing my eyes
but I don't
For there's an alert
Need to see
what's going on
Feel like
giving in
but
I won't
Those were the days
when I wrote
and the feel was
feel like writing
feel like dancing
and I did
the blossom
reborn
the skin flabby
the heat on.

smiles...to dance once more one must dance when they dont feel like dancing, like exercise...to get the flab away...not easy...

ReplyDeleteEnjoyed... Today's a good day.. I'd dance.

ReplyDeleteHey Dulce. So nice to see you and glad you shared a poem with Toads today.
ReplyDeleteThis hits home. I dont' dwell though...I turn from the mirror and go on. Life still has a way of surprising me.
ReplyDeleteI always heard that it is what's inside a Peep is more meaningful than the outside.
ReplyDeleteTHEN I got a look at my gall bladder X-Ray!
Peep!
We experience what we choose. I choose wonder, beauty, intensity, passion. In the end, the poem does too.
